Apprenticeships
If you're interested in an apprenticeship, training is offered by around 80 different work sectors and more than 130,000 businesses in England now offer an apprentice training scheme.
You may not be aware that apprenticeships are offered at a range of levels, including higher apprenticeships (levels 4 and 5 - the level at which undergraduates usually study in the first two years of a three-year degree) and these are set to expand. If you're interested in degree level study you can also progress to a Foundation Degree.
If you live or work in Sussex, go to Apprenticeships in Sussex for information about current vacancies at all levels and refer to the
Apprenticeship leaflet that provides advice about local higher level opportunities
If you're outside Sussex, information on Apprenticeships can be found here:
- Apprenticeships - Opening doors to a better future - for the home page and details of all vacancies at all levels
- Higher level apprenticeships - for details of the current higher apprenticeships scheme that includes: accounting, business & admin, contact centre operations, engineering technology, food & drink, IT, software, web & telecoms professions, providing financial advice, leadership & management.
