The business section of the University of Brighton's website outlines the services you can access to help you develop your products and services and grow your business. Services include consultancy, contract research, facilities hire and Knowledge Exchange (KTP). Contact the university's business development team who are field specialists with industrial experience in specific sectors. The university works with many businesses, see some of the case studies and videos about who they work with The innovative Profitnet programme includes peer support and networking for small and medium-sized enterprises.
Recruitment, work placements and volunteers
The university produces over 5,000 graduates each year and employers can recruit for full-time or part-time positions, take a student on placement, offer work experience or find volunteers. University of Sussex based at Falmer, Brighton
Sussex Innovation Centre (SinC)
SinC is a business incubator that specialises in support for start-ups and growing companies. It offers professional services, office space, meeting rooms and in-house support services such as reception, admin, catering and access to photocopying, IT and printing facilities. It is based at Falmer which has excellent transport links via road, rail and bus. SinC's facilities are offered to tenant and virtual tenant companies.
Enterprise
Enterprise activities promote entrepreneurship and are open to local businesses as well as University of Sussex students and staff with an interest in creating their own business.
Knowledge transfer partnerships (KTPs)
Organisations can get access to a range of university services, consultancies and facilities via KTPs that apply academic knowledge for the direct benefit commercial benefit of businesses wishing to become more innovative, efficient and effective.
