"How much is my foundation degree going to cost me?"

Universities and colleges can charge up to £3,290 a year for their full-time courses for the 2010/11 academic year, but fees vary so check with the institution where you want to study. There are no regulations stating how much universities can charge in tuition fees for part-time courses. Check with your university or college how much they charge - it’s also worth finding out how much the fees are likely to rise over the length of your course. If you are working, your employer may cover some of the costs for you. You can get more information on fees and funding from DirectGov

In addition to the course fees, you will need to pay for study materials and travel to college and you may have child care costs or need to purchase a computer.

Have a look at our information sheets on financial help when studying full-time or part-time.
